Takes App Goes Live, Exiting Beta, Offering Live Sports Interaction

Takes, the groundbreaking sports experience app, has officially launched out of beta following a successful $1.6 million pre-seed fundraising round. The app has garnered support from prominent figures in the sports industry, including Riccardo Silva, Co-Owner of AC Milan and Miami FC; Carlo Pozzali, co-founder of MP & Silva (MPS) and a seasoned sports business expert; Astralis Capital, a digital sports and gambling-focused fund managed by Tisno Onggara and Evan Meyer; and Joe Inzerillo, CPO + CTO at Sirius and the Tech Visionary behind MLBAM & BAMTech. Takes is poised to bring interactive, crowdsourced, and easily digestible sports content to fans worldwide, with its initial user base spanning over 15 college campuses across the United States.

Conceived by former MLB and Amazon product executive Michael Iams, Takes serves as a dynamic hub where sports enthusiasts can share their high-quality video commentary, interact with friends and fellow fans, make live predictions, and access highlights, statistics, and analysis.

Iams, CEO and Co-Founder of Takes, explained, "Sports have always been about those thrilling moments that captivate dedicated fans. Takes amplifies these moments by making users feel like they're at a sports bar with their closest friends. With the ability to harness AI-driven personalization, real-time interactions, and collaborative content creation, Takes caters to the next generation of sports fans where they are – on their smartphones – whether they're at the game, watching live, or simply seeking quick content or statistics."

Fueled by advanced AI technology, Takes curates a customized content feed tailored to users' preferences, whether it's keeping up with a favorite team, monitoring a fantasy league, or staying informed about key players. Users can engage with fellow fans as events unfold, fostering lively discussions and nurturing a vibrant and inclusive sports community.

Takes offers a comprehensive suite of creator tools and real-time statistics, allowing users to step into the role of color commentators. Features include picture-in-picture editing, telestrators for annotating live plays, and augmented reality filters to express fandom.

Liz Ludwig, COO and Co-Founder of Takes, emphasized, "Existing social platforms often fall short in effectively meeting the needs of Gen Z sports fans. This younger demographic craves more than passive content consumption; they seek interactive and personalized experiences that seamlessly integrate with their digital-native lifestyle. Takes answers this call by enabling fans not only to watch but also to actively participate in and discuss the games they love in real-time."
